Why Russia?

Economic reference Moscow (pdf)

Russia is the world’s largest country in terms of territory, with vast natural resources: oil and gas play a major part in the Russian economy in terms of production for internal purposes and exports, a highly educated workforce, and technologically advanced research and production capabilities.

Russia has tremendous growth potential and it boasts one of the most dynamically developing and attractive economies in the world, with great opportunities for international companies. While there is stagnation and even economic downturn in many countries, the economic growth in Russia reached 4.3% in 2011. Sectors including oil and gas, heat and water supply, food and beverage are developing and in 2011 manufacturing in Russia rose by 4,7%!

The country has recently joined the World Trade Organisation (WTO), which means the removal of trade barriers between Russia and other countries will generate far more investment into the country, easing the process of import and export. Within the next 5 years export tariffs will drop dramatically, enabling international companies to sell their products in the Russian market at more competitive prices.

Also, the need for modernisation of manufacturing equipment is very high and the Russian government has devised a number of investment programmes to promote the manufacturing industry. Furthermore, there are many private investments in manufacturing equipment, and business potential for valves, compressors, pumps, engines is immense.
